NEWS : 26.04.2011 - VIII IAGG's European Congress will be held in Dublin, Ireland
We are pleased to congratulate Professor Desmond O'Neil and the Irish Gerontological Society with being chosen to host the next IAGG ER Congress in 2015!
The Irish Gerontological Society in one of the oldest societies in the world involved in research in Ageing. In 2010, the IGS successfuly co-hosted the 6th EUGMSCongress, the largest European conference dedicated the geriatric medicine. Following this, the society was keep to host the IAGG ER Congress in Dublin, which was also supported ny Lord Mayor of Dublin Mr. Gerry Breen, Department of Health and Children and Ageing Well Network in Dublin.
The Theme of the forthcoming Congress is going to be "Unlocking the Demograthic Dividend". The Congress will focuse on advances in the meany disciplines contributing to gerontology in an interdisciplinary forum, with its major theme focusing on research which highlights the Demographic Dividend.
